A THEIST
R. Hu

Everyone is evil; no one is good they say,

Thousands of religions; one begins with an ‘A’.

There are many beliefs, he finds very odd,

Apparently, people believe in something called “God”.

Some believe in one; some a few,

He believes in one god less than you!

He’s an atheist, is that his fall?

How could God ever exist at all?

He cannot see him; he cannot feel;

Why should he believe in something not real?

His views won’t change, he will never move!

God is something, he doesn’t need to prove!

“God is all-knowing, impossible!” he said,

“Nothing is perfect, thus God is dead!”

God is invisible; God is air.

If humans vanished, would God be there?

His views on fate, to him its humor,

“Predestination is only a rumor!”

“What about miracles, what’s your word?”

“Miracles are silly, don’t be absurd!”

Death is something we cannot crave,

When you die, you rot in your grave.

“How about Creation, what was God’s plan?”

Rightfully, he believes in the evolution of man.

Apocalypse: the concept is not in his mind,

He thinks man will cause his own decline.

How should one settle this crisis, what should one do?

Do not hate him, because he’s one less view.

He thinks differently; do not appall.

If there is a God, he would love us all.

He is a freethinker; he thinks what is true;

Don’t look down upon pagans; they’re the same as you.

You believe in one God, and dismiss scores,

If you know your reason,

You’ll understand why he rejects yours.
