Will the earth live to see another day?

The worst weapon is just a button away.

The basic powers of the universe, and more,

Have been harnessed by man, and used in war.

For the inventors, I feel much pity;

They can split an atom, and destroy a city.

The future is here; here’s what’s in store;

How would you survive, nuclear war?

Your biggest fear, are the cosmic rays;

World War Three lasted only five days.

Trust your leaders; they are the only ones who know;

They have to destroy all the bombs, in a single blow.

Don’t nuke Russia, for it will seal our fate;

A couple bombs could annihilate a state.

And resist destroying your enemy’s capital, for,

You need to sign a treaty, thus ending the war.

How do you determine, who lives and who survives?

A thousand bomb shelters could save millions of lives.

A war like such would cause much dire.

It would engulf the world, in a storm of fire.

Never bomb a nation that will respond with attack;

Never nuke a country that can nuke you back.

You must escape the rays, but not with flight;

The rays travel, at the speed of light!

Atomic bombs are used for deterrent, as you can tell;

If you bomb them, they can bomb you as well.

Sadly, these weapons will stay;

Thanks to them, we have no wars today.

Because of bombs, no nation is tall;

Off to war, the armies call.

Having the bomb, made all wars small;

The Nuclear bomb…has saved us all.
